A great opportunity to join an exciting division of Saga. The Saga Travel Finance team is currently embarking on a major business transformation journey and is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the FP&A team. You will take full responsibility for the financial partnering and support elements across our teams. This involves regular business partnering with key stakeholders within the business units, providing financial guidance to all key stakeholders. You will cover cornerstone items such as 5-year plans, budgets, forecasts, month-end performance, as well as trading, operational, and project-related finance support. This role will work closely with and support the Head of Finance and CFO.
Role Responsibilities
Our Finance Business Partner will be fully responsible for the preparation, delivery, and oversight of the following areas:
* Production of forecasts, the annual 5-year plan, and budget (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow).
* Providing finance input on trading targets and planning.
* Preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
* Review and analysis of incoming bookings, volumes, and margins.
* Supporting and preparing presentations for the Board on travel strategy and new initiatives.
* Providing support for financial, trading, and trend reporting both internally and externally.
* Business partnering with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy in the above elements.
* Ensuring finance is well represented within the business and maintains an outward-facing presence.
The Ideal Candidate
You should have experience in a Finance Business Partnering role focused on strategy, financial planning, and analysis, ideally within a B2C organization or customer transaction environment. You will also need to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
* A natural business communicator who is commercially aware.
* Credible, able to establish rapport with colleagues at all levels, including Heads of and Directors.
* Ability to collaborate and manage high-profile projects.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to challenge and think creatively.
* Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Experience in Travel / Tour Operations companies is preferable but not essential.
* Knowledge or experience with TM1/Dream systems is preferable but not essential.
