Business Development Representative (BDR) £35,000 - £40,000 - OTE £50,000 Location - Guildford/Hybrid We are working with a leading organisation in the SaaS space who are looking for a Business Development representatiove to join the team at an exciting time of growth. Job Overview: The Business Development Representative (BDR) will work closely with both the Sales and Marketing teams to qualify, nurture, and progress marketing-generated leads into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). This role is critical in ensuring a strong pipeline of well-qualified opportunities and a seamless handover to the sales team. The successful candidate will be commercially driven, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, and experienced in solution-led sales environments, ideally within retail software, ERP or Microsoft ecosystems. Key Responsibilities: Lead Qualification & Nurturing * Engage with inbound & outbound marketing leads via phone, email, social, and digital channels * Qualify prospects based on defined criteria (industry fit, needs, budget, timeline, decision-makers) * Nurture early-stage opportunities to progress them to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Hubspot CRM Sales & Marketing Alignment * Work closely with Marketing to provide feedback on campaign performance and lead quality * Collaborate with Sales Executives to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities * Support outbound initiatives, targeted campaigns, and account-based marketing activities * Assist in building and refining lead qualification processes and messaging Events & Brand Presence * Support trade shows, exhibitions, partner events, and conferences * Engage with attendees, qualify leads on-site, and ensure effective post-event follow-up * Represent the company professionally as an ambassador for our brand and solutions Reporting & Insights * Report on pipeline activity, lead conversion rates, and qualification outcomes * Provide regular updates to the Sales & Marketing Director * Share market insights, competitor activity, and customer feedback Experience: * 5yrs experience as a Business Development Representative, SDR, or Inside Sales role * Experience working in B2B software, ERP, SaaS, or Microsoft partner environments * Strong understanding of lead qualification and sales pipelines * Confident communicator with experience speaking to senior decision-makers * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Comfortable working collaboratively across sales and marketing teams * Commercially minded with a proactive, “can-do” attitude * Resilient and comfortable working toward targets and KPIs * Strong relationship builder with excellent listening skills with desire to understand customer challenges and solutions Please send your Cv for a confidential chat
