As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Account Manager to join our dynamic team.
The Role:
As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, negotiating, and executing media campaigns across a variety of media channels. Very Media is split into Biddable and Non-Biddable teams, and this role is sat within the Non-Biddable team. You will report into a Client Partner to plan and buy media including TV, radio, OOH, paid content, trade and digital, whilst also liaising closely with the Biddable team for their expertise in PPC, Programmatic etc. The role is diverse allowing exposure to many different media types, so no two days will be the same. Very Media is fully remote and we’re ideally looking for a freelance candidate who is a self-starter and ambitious. This role will suit someone early in their career who is looking to move to their 2nd or 3rd media agency job.
Key Responsibilities:
* Media Planning & Strategy: Develop strategic media plans based on client goals, audience insights, and budget considerations, ensuring a balanced mix of traditional and digital media.
* Media Buying: Negotiate and purchase media across multiple channels (TV, digital, radio, print, OOH etc.) to achieve the best possible rates, placements, and value for clients.
* Campaign Execution: Oversee the execution of media buys, ensuring all campaigns are launched on time, on budget, and aligned with client objectives.
* Optimization & Performance Tracking: Monitor and optimize live campaigns to maximize ROI, adjusting strategies based on performance data and client feedback.
* Market Research: Stay up-to-date with media trends, audience behaviour, and competitive landscape to inform planning and buying decisions.
* Client Collaboration: Work with clients and internal teams to present media plans, explain buying strategies, and discuss campaign performance.
* Reporting & Analytics: Prepare client reports with insights and recommendations for future media strategies, based on campaign performance data.
Who You Are:
* You have 18 months to 3 years experience in media planning and buying at a UK media agency. While you don’t need to have previous experience in all the media channels listed, this role would suit a candidate who has had exposure to multiple media types.
* You have some experience in a media agency but are early in your career and looking to grow.
* You have an understanding of both traditional and digital media landscapes and how they contribute to the media mix.
* You have strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of getting the best value for clients.
* You are have a keen attention to detail and are highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
* You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on building relationships and articulating complex media strategies in a clear, concise way.
* You are a disciplined self-starter and are used to working collaboratively from a remote setting.
