Job Title: Teaching Assistant / SEND Assistant Location : Dudley Pay : £14.50 – £16.00 per hour Contract : Zero-hour (with opportunity to move into permanent role) We are recruiting Teaching Assistants / SEND Assistants to support learners within mainstream, alternative provision, and specialist education settings in Dudley. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs Support students with emotional regulation and engagement in learning Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures Essential Skills & Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEND Assistant, or in Alternative Provision Experience supporting children with Autism and Special Educational Needs Strong behavioural support and classroom management skills Understanding of safeguarding and child protection Calm, patient, and professional approach Ability to adapt to different school settings Must be on an up-to-date DBS system, or willing to pay for a new one Willingness to travel to different locations within Dudley Additional Information: Hours are allocated based on service and contract requirements Flexible zero-hour position with the opportunity to move into a permanent role To apply, please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience.
