Job Title: Senior Buyer
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Package
We are working with a growing construction business to appoint an experienced Senior Buyer to manage procurement across multiple projects. This is a key role supporting project delivery through effective sourcing, cost control, and supplier management.
You’ll play a vital part in ensuring materials and subcontract packages are procured efficiently, competitively, and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end procurement in line with project programmes and budgets
* Develop and maintain project procurement plans
* Lead enquiries, analyse quotations, and appoint suppliers and subcontractors
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve best value
* Ensure all orders meet project specifications and regulatory requirements
* Monitor spend against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve procurement issues
* Provide updates on procurement progress, risks, and commitments
* Support reporting, forecasting, and commercial decision-making
Health & Safety Responsibilities
* Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
* Take responsibility for your own safety and others around you
* Use equipment and PPE as required
* Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses
General Responsibilities
* Complete a minimum of 20 hours CPD annually
