Make a Real Impact – Newly Qualified Solicitor (Health & Care Regulatory)

Location: Flexible across Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, or London | Hybrid Working Model

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a leading UK commercial law firm with an exceptional reputation in the health, social care, and education sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join a nationally recognised Health & Care Regulatory team—a rare chance to get involved in truly meaningful work with a supportive, award-winning practice.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out This isn’t just another legal role. It’s your opportunity to:

1. Work on high-profile, high-impact matters across public and independent sector clients.
2. Join a values-led firm with consecutive years of revenue and profit growth—ensuring long-term stability and investment in people.
3. Thrive in a genuinely flexible hybrid environment, with trust and autonomy built into their working culture.
4. Be part of a team where development is a priority, with tailored learning, real progression opportunities, and a strong mentorship culture.
5. Do work that matters, from Court of Protection cases to safeguarding and mental health law—where you can make a tangible difference.

About the Team The Health & Care Regulatory team comprises specialists working across four UK offices. They’re known for their practical, client-focused advice and for being approachable, collaborative, and down-to-earth. The team works flexibly across locations and offers a mix of remote and office-based working.
What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be advising clients across a wide range of legal and regulatory areas, both contentious and non-contentious, including:

6. Court of Protection litigation and human rights issues
7. Inquests, mental health, and safeguarding matters
8. Patient safety, serious incident response, complaints, and disputes
9. Regulatory enforcement (CQC, HSE, Ofsted)
10. Education law, children law, and governance in health/social care

You’ll manage your own caseload, support more complex cases, undertake advocacy, and contribute to business development.
Who They’re Looking For This role would suit a newly qualified solicitor who:

11. Is passionate about health, social care, or education law
12. Has excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
13. Can work confidently and collaboratively with both clients and colleagues
14. Brings a practical, commercial approach to problem-solving
15. Is eager to learn, grow, and make a positive impact

Key Benefits

16. Minimum days’ holiday (plus the option to buy up to 5 more)
17. Discretionary bonus scheme
18. Generous pension contribution
19. Private medical insurance (Vitality)
20. Biennial private health assessments (Nuffield Health)
21. Life assurance & Employee Assistance Programme
22. Cycle to work scheme
23. Hybrid/flexible working model

Let’s Talk If you’re a newly qualified solicitor ready to take your next step in a supportive, ambitious firm where the work genuinely matters, I’d love to hear from you.
