Were recruiting a skilled Electrical Motor & Pump Engineer (Three Phase / Electrical Control Systems) to join a market-leading engineering firm with over 60 years of experience delivering high-performance water and wastewater solutions across the Carlisle region!
This field-based role is ideal for someone with experience in three-phase motors, electrical control panels, and pump-related equipment. Youll work closely with a Mechanical Engineer to provide reliable, high-quality servicing, installation, and breakdown support across a wide range of pumping and fluid-handling systems.

What Youll Be Doing
* Electrical servicing, installation, and commissioning of: Pumps, Control Panels, Kiosks, Pump Stations, Motors, and Monitoring Systems
* Diagnose faults and perform on-site electrical repairs
* Respond to breakdowns and carry out routine and reactive maintenance
* Complete accurate, detailed job reports for all works undertaken
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
* Act as a professional representative of the company at client sites
* Drive and maintain a fully stocked company van
Hours
Monday-Friday, Day Shifts, 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
Pay
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Overtime paid at time 1/3 & time 1/2
Skills/Experience Required
Essential:
* Experience working with three-phase motors, electrical control systems, or pumping equipment
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexibility for occasional overnight stays
Preferred:
* Background in water treatment, utility maintenance, drainage, or pump systems
* Familiarity with inverter drives, control panels, and motor diagnostics
* Additional certifications such as CSCS, First Aid, or Confined Space
