About the role
12. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered.
13. Working 45 hours on Day shift, start time will be between -

What you'll do
16. Carry out driving assessments as part of recruitment process
17. Plan and review new driver training covering site introduction, routes, safe systems of work, Tacho procedures, defect reporting and walk round checks
18. Perform annual in cab driver assessments
19. Retrain underperforming drivers such as those with poor anticipation and/or high levels of harsh braking
20. Retrain and assess drivers following RTIs
21. Deliver DVWC Training and Slow Manoeuvring Course as directed
22. Conduct Driver Assessments of Greggs Shop Maintenance Team as appropriate
23. Assist with the administration of RTI investigations and retraining
24. Carries out annual refresher training for Tachographs, Defect reporting and walk round checks.
25. Train drivers in vehicle and equipment (eg taillift) specific use
26. Carries out specific Tacho training with drivers who have infringed as agreed with site
27. Carries out safe systems training with drivers and loaders to include loading, deliveries, refuelling, use of tail lifts etc
28. Assists the Department in carrying out new shop reviews and reports back on any issues
29. In conjunction with site management identify training & development needs
30. Evaluate the impact of training and development activities to support improvement
31. Work with the site Learning & Development Facilitator to ensure all training is recorded, the correct process is followed and the correct documentation is used at all times
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
32. Hold a valid Class 1 C+E Driving Licence
33. Have a current CPC and digital tachograph card
34. Excellent standard of driver performance.
35. Proficient using Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications.
36. Experience of producing clear, accurate and concise written reports.
37. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
38. Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
39. Strong understanding of current transport legislation and EU/WTD Regulations.
40. Confident in course presentation to groups.
41. Able to work away from home, if and when required.
Desired Qualifications:
42. PTTLS, Award In Education Level 3 or similar qualification.
43. RTITB, RoSPA or DIA qualified trainer.
