Position Overview

The Design Production Specialist at RICOTECK Limited is a key player in our mission to deliver high-quality products and services that empower businesses and individuals. As a Design Production Specialist, you will bridge the gap between creative vision and tangible output, ensuring that design concepts are flawlessly translated into exceptional products across our diverse service offerings. Your expertise will be essential in supporting a variety of areas. Your ability to manage the design-to-production process, collaborate effectively with different teams, and maintain a meticulous eye for detail will be crucial to ensuring client satisfaction and upholding RICOTECK's commitment to delivering exceptional products and services. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creative vision, and a client‑centric approach to contribute to the success of our diverse service offerings and empower our clients through visually compelling and effective designs.


Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with the design team to create and develop design concepts that align with client requirements, brand guidelines, and technical feasibility for production across various service areas, ensuring that designs are both aesthetically pleasing and practical for production.
* Prepare production‑ready design files for print, digital, or manufacturing processes, meticulously ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and compatibility with production equipment and software, depending on the specific service.
* Review and refine designs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure technical feasibility, compliance with production requirements, and optimal visual appeal, balancing creative vision with practical considerations.
* Ensure that design specifications, including color, layout, and materials, are properly detailed and communicated to the production team, facilitating a smooth transition from design to production and minimizing errors or inconsistencies.
* Manage the preparation of prototypes, samples, and mock‑ups to ensure they align with design expectations and client needs, providing a tangible representation of the final product and allowing for feedback and adjustments before full‑scale production.
* Work closely with clients to gather feedback and make necessary design revisions before moving forward with production, ensuring that designs meet their expectations and fulfill their specific requirements.


Production Management

* Oversee the design production workflow from concept to final product, meticulously tracking progress, coordinating resources, and ensuring that deadlines are met and projects remain on track across various service areas.
* Collaborate effectively with production teams to ensure that materials, machinery, and resources are available for timely and accurate execution of designs, proactively addressing any potential bottlenecks or challenges.
* Troubleshoot production issues, such as material constraints, design complexity, or technical challenges, and provide effective solutions to ensure successful outcomes and minimize disruptions to the production process.
* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing materials, ensuring compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints, maintaining strong relationships with key partners.
* Conduct quality checks at various stages of the production process to ensure that finished products meet design and quality specifications, meticulously reviewing output to identify and address any inconsistencies or defects.
* Communicate proactively with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure client satisfaction, fostering transparency and trust throughout the production process.
* Ensure the successful delivery of final products to clients, meticulously verifying that all design and production specifications have been met and that the final output aligns with client expectations and quality standards.
* Maintain an organized database of design files, production records, and client documentation for future reference and repeat orders, ensuring easy access to information and facilitating efficient project management.
* Assist in post‑production evaluations and gather feedback from clients and production teams to continuously improve processes, identify areas for optimization, and enhance the overall design and production experience.
* Provide recommendations on optimizing the design production workflow, exploring new technologies or methods for efficiency, and contributing to innovation and continuous improvement within the department.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of RICOTECK and fulfill obligations to clients and stakeholders.
* The role will be based in the office, with potential for some field work or remote support depending on the nature of client requests and service requirements.
* The position may involve occasional evening or weekend shifts, depending on customer needs and system down times, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to providing timely support.
* Some physical activity may be required, such as lifting equipment or setting up systems, necessitating the ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks as needed.


Requirements


Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field (or any combination of qualifications and equivalent experience).
* 3+ years of experience in design production or a related role, with a strong understanding of the design‑to‑production process across various mediums and output formats.
* Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and knowledge of production software or tools relevant to RICOTECK's service offerings, demonstrating expertise in both design and production aspects.
* Strong understanding of production techniques, processes, and materials, including print, digital, or manufacturing methods, ensuring that designs are optimized for different output formats and service areas.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and departments.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in translating designs into production‑ready formats, ensuring that final products meet quality standards and client expectations.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain production efficiency.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and suppliers in a fast‑paced environment, fostering positive relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the design and production process.


Preferred Skills

* Experience in product development or manufacturing environments, demonstrating a practical understanding of production workflows, challenges, and best practices.
* Knowledge of 3D modeling software and experience in designing for physical production, expanding design capabilities and enabling the creation of more complex and innovative products.
* Familiarity with digital and print production workflows, including file preparation, printing processes, and quality control, particularly relevant to RICOTECK's printing services and product offerings.
