What the Job Involves The role involves undertaking Mental Health Act assessments on behalf of Hillingdon Council, primarily under the regulations defined by the Mental Health Act 1983 and its amendments. You will work with individuals with complex care needs, developing support plans to maximize their independence. The position requires you to support adult social care services while ensuring equality and accessibility is maintained across the community. You will provide professional supervision and leadership to social work colleagues, manage complex casework, and collaborate with various partners and stakeholders. This role includes covering out-of-hours standby rota and involves a proactive approach to empowering vulnerable adults. You will also be responsible for resource management, service planning, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the service.
