Business Finance Co-ordinator | KIMS Hospital, Maidstone

We are looking for a Business Finance Co-ordinator to join our Business Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to support our Billing, Credit Control and Provider Ledger functions across multiple sites, ensuring an excellent experience for our patients, insurers, and stakeholders while helping to maximise revenue and cash collection.
You will be responsible for producing accurate invoices, managing queries with both internal teams and external contacts, reducing aged debt, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate billing information. If you thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and are committed to continuous improvement, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Generate accurate patient invoices based on agreed tariffs.
2. Liaise with internal departments and external insurers to resolve billing queries efficiently.
3. Ensure pre-authorisation requirements are fully met and documented.
4. Actively reduce aged debt, including issuing timely debtor letters.
5. Process and allocate payments from patients, insurers and the NHS.
About You
You will be a proactive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to prioritise a busy workload and build strong working relationships.
Essential Experience & Skills
6. Have Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
7. Have previous experience in an administrative or finance-related role
8. Have strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
9. Be a confident communicator – both written and verbal
10. Have a drive for continuous improvement and high performance
Desirable Experience
11. Have an intermediate knowledge of Excel
12. Have experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting
