Your Role as a Registered Manager (Children’s Services)

As a Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading your service and ensuring exceptional outcomes for young people.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead a team to deliver a calm, supportive environment that promotes development and wellbeing
* Ensure children experience positive opportunities to build confidence and life skills
* Create a culture where each child’s needs are recognised and met
* Deliver a consistent child-centred approach
* Drive service performance and maintain high standards of care
* Develop, implement, and review individual care plans
* Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and performance management
* Mentor and guide staff to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care
* Support staff development and continuous improvement
* Ensure full compliance with legislation, policies, and Ofsted requirements


Requirements

* Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards)
* At least two years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
* Strong knowledge of legislation, Ofsted standards, and regulations
* Experience completing risk assessments and producing clear reports
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
* Passion for supporting young people with complex needs
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive, flexible approach with a focus on outcomes
