Job Summary
As a Nursery Nurse, you will support children in early years settings, helping to create safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically. You will assist with daily routines, learning activities, and care needs, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children at all times.
Responsibilities
* Support children aged 0–5 with learning and development
* Assist with planning and delivering EYFS-based activities
* Promote independence, communication, and social skills
* Supervise play, meal, and outdoor learning times
* Provide personal care where appropriate
* Use Paediatric First Aid knowledge when required
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
* Work collaboratively with nursery practitioners and room leaders

Qualifications
* Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (CACHE Diploma, BTEC, NVQ, or completed Early Years Education apprenticeship) – Level 3 preferred for fully qualified roles
* Paediatric First Aid certificate (required for newer qualifications)
* Understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
* A caring, patient and proactive approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
