I am working alongside an innovative biotech company seeking to expand their team of computational Physicists to drive groundbreaking innovations. You will play a crucial role in building this team, inspiring collaboration across multi-disciplinary environments to accelerate drug discovery efforts.
We are looking for an individual with extensive industry experience to provide strategic solutions within the team. Your responsibilities will include optimizing and developing physics-based computational methods in drug discovery programs, ensuring effective use of these methods to identify new drug candidates.
We seek a leader with expertise in computational physics, chemistry, and statistical mechanics, capable of providing technical, insightful, and impactful strategies while managing a team of scientists.
Key responsibilities include:
* Mentoring and leading a team focused on physics-based computational methods
* Integrating strategies using free energy calculations and physics-based models into drug discovery pipelines
* Providing technical leadership in statistical mechanics, molecular dynamics, computational chemistry, and free energy
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as AI researchers, medicinal chemists, and computational chemists
As a leader, you will communicate scientific insights, provide recommendations to stakeholders, and ensure your team delivers high-quality results in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Additional skills required:
