Role Purpose:
* To create electrical designs and procure specialist packages in heavy industries
What you'll be doing
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
* Design LV electrical distribution systems
* Create documentation such as specifications & datasheets, cable calculations & schedules, and drawings (via CAD team)
* Review and check manufacturer documents for compliance with project specifications
* Develop and maintain relationships with technical consultants and suppliers
Who we're looking for
Qualities and experience:
* Proficiency in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign
* Focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers and project teams
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Promotion of innovation and continuous improvement in design
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
* Knowledge of codes of practice and regulatory material
* Experience in heavy industries such as Petrochemical, Power Generation, Renewables, and Nuclear
Beneficial experience:
* Design of HV electrical systems
* Use of AutoCAD and/or Revit software
* Use of Dialux or Relux software
* Use of SKM, ETAP, Digsilent, PSCAD software
* Design of ATEX systems
