This top player within the asbestos industry and with a large presence is actively seeking the services of a competent, focused and committed Asbestos Lab Analyst in Kent and will include applications from within this area.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally the applicant must have attained the P401 qualification and at the same time must have significant experience working within this role – within a laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Key Responsibilities
* Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
* Preparing samples for analysis.
* Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content and typing certificates of analysis accurately – using the Database.
* Ensuring that all work is carried out effectively and in accordance to the quality standards.
* Ensuring all the equipment is maintained and calibrated.
* Dealing with staff – Surveyors and Surveyor/Analysts.
* Liaising with the clients on a regular basis.
* Dealing with any issues effectively and appropriately.
* Carrying out any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Overall, the post-holder applicant will be flexible and adaptable and have good attention to detail and at the same time have the ability to organise workload effectively and within time scale.
