We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead the delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based Tissue Viability service at Hillingdon Hospital (Band 7).
Role Overview
As a key specialist you will provide expert assessment and management of complex and non‑healing wounds, support frontline teams with professional advice, and contribute to Trust-wide initiatives to reduce pressure damage and improve patient outcomes while embodying the Hillingdon NHS Foundation Trust’s CARES values.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and maintain tools to monitor prevalence and incidence of pressure ulcers.
* Provide a comprehensive, evidence-based tissue viability service across the Trust, ensuring delivery of policies, procedures and information resources to frontline staff.
* Operate a responsive referral service for complex and non‑healing wounds and pressure damage.
* Provide specialist assessment to patients with complex or non‑healing wounds of all aetiologies and enable delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based service.
* Facilitate implementation and sustainability of new tissue viability systems/processes at ward level.
* Integrate tissue viability theory into practice through interactive workplace learning.
