Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and nurturing relationships. The Nursery Practitioner will also play a key role in supporting the management team and leading initiatives that enhance the learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality childcare and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
* Support the management team in maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment.
* Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff members, demonstrating leadership skills within the team.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to childcare.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
* A Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide staff and support children's learning effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for childcare and a commitment to fostering children's development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.31 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
