Markerstudy also has a large and growing direct presence in the market as well.
Role Purpose:
Working with the Head of MI Development to deliver high-quality data management across Markerstudy. You will be responsible for providing meaningful management information data into the business to support improved financial and operational performance, managing and maintaining technical solutions, and BAU support.
To act as a mentor to more junior team members, utilizing their advanced system knowledge to bring on the wider team and to adhere to FSA, TCF, GDPR Regulations, and complete Mandatory E-Learning.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of MI Development with building, maintaining, and improving the MISL data warehouse.
* Model and transform data from new data sources to support the growing Markerstudy brand, using data modelling techniques to normalize and integrate multiple data sources to drive business value.
* Proactively develop ideas, concepts, and relationships to support department data initiatives that inform the strategic direction of the business.
* Support ongoing migration to SAS Viya and utilize new technology to enhance ETL processes.
* Review data processing methods regularly to improve efficiency and processing times.
* Promote data governance activities, policies, and procedures.
* Drive continuous improvements in data quality standards.
* Assist in resolving data issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
* Prioritize data risks and report accordingly.
* Ensure daily data processing completes on time with no failures.
* Previous experience in a DW or BI role is required.
* Essential experience with coding in SAS and SAS Macros, SAS DI Studio, and Enterprise Guide.
* Experience with data modelling, ETL, data warehousing, and data quality management concepts.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and presentation skills.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical details for non-technical audiences.
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment and handle issues proactively.
* Confidence in judgment and decision-making, viewing challenges as opportunities for development.
* Experience with SAS Viya, SAS Visual Analytics, SQL Server, Apache Airflow, and MS DevOps for workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
