We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with proven carve-out experience to lead the technical separation and stabilisation of SAP environments during M&A activity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a high-pace, results-driven PE environment where timelines are tight, governance is lean, and execution quality is critical.
Role
SAP Carve-Out & System Separation (Hands-On Execution)
1. The SAP Basis consultant will execute system and client copies across SAP landscapes (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC)
2. Perform post-copy technical activities including BDLS, logical system updates, and RFC realignment
3. Reconfigure transport routes and landscape topology
4. Support system shell creation and environment rebuilds
5. Troubleshoot technical separation issues in real time during cutover
Core SAP Basis Administration
6. SAP installation, configuration, and patching
7. Kernel upgrades and SAP Notes implementation
8. Performance monitoring and tuning
9. Background job management and reconfiguration
10. User and role restructuring post-separation
Infrastructure & Database
11. Support database activities including SAP HANA administration
12. Execute migrations and system refreshes
13. Assist with cloud-hosted environments (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
14. Configure backup, high availability, and disaster recovery setups
Operating Within a PE Environment
15. Deliver against tight carve-out deadlines
16. Maintain clear technical risk visibility
17. Focus on efficiency, cost awareness, and long-term sustainability
18. Support Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) timelines and exit plans
Profile
19. The SAP Basis Consultant will have 5+ years SAP Basis experience
20. Proven hands-on involvement in at least one SAP carve-out or divestiture
Strong experience with:
21. Homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies
22. Logical system changes (BDLS)
23. Transport Management System (TMS)
24. RFC/ALE/IDoc reconfiguration
25. Experience supporting Day 1 cutover execution
26. Strong troubleshooting capability under pressure
