Head of Creative Events
This newly created role will be instrumental in driving creative excellence, ensuring their event experiences are creative, ambitious, innovative and flawlessly executed. You will be responsible for leadership and mentoring of the team which includes Production Manager, Creative Producer and Event Technology. You will manage all resourcing and allocation and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape the future of their Creative Services offering. While primarily an office-based leadership role, the role will require periodic availability to work at event and other locations in the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities of Head of Creative Events:
* Lead the Creative Services function, overseeing the design, development and execution of innovative creative concepts across all events and client work.
* Oversee and work on the execution of creative projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Inspire, support and manage a team of specialists in production, creative direction, and event technology.
* Directly manage team members as well as creating and leading virtual teams comprising their suppliers, freelancers and clients to ensure collaboration and coordination and foster productive and enduring relationships.
* Act as a strategic adviser to the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the growth of the business through creative excellence and innovation that can support existing business and help win new clients.
* Ensure consistency in brand and messaging across all creative outputs.
* Identify and implement emerging trends, technologies and techniques to enhance event experiences and become part of the sales offering.
* Champion and personally demonstrate best practice in creative process, planning, budgeting setting, budget control and delivery.
Skills and Experience of Head of Creative Events:
* Minimum five years proven experience in a senior creative, production, or experience design role, ideally within the events industry or a similar fast- paced creative environment.
* A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates innovative thinking and successful delivery of high-impact creative projects.
* Experience managing and mentoring direct and virtual creative and technical teams.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into creative strategy and deliverables.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills — credible and influential when working with senior stakeholders and clients both in the sales and delivery processes.
* Strong understanding of event technology, production and design processes.
* Impeccable attention to detail and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
* Willingness to travel globally and manage events across time zones
* Strong Leadership and Management Skills: ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of creative professionals is essential.
* Excellent Project Management Skills: experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
