Job Title - TLC Support Worker
Pay Rate - £18-20 PH

Are you a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker looking for a rewarding 1:1 role? We are seeking dedicated staff to provide comprehensive support in a client's own home in Jedburgh, within the Borders area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a woman with her daily life, routine, and interests.
The Role and Duties
You will be providing 1:1 support to a 47-year-old female client who has Autism and a mild Learning Disability (LD). The role focuses on helping her maintain her structure and routine, assisting with daily living tasks, and accompanying her on outings.
Key Duties Include:
* Personal Care: Assisting with intermittent catheterisation (training provided by a District Nurse) three times a day. Providing support during bath time, specifically with rinsing hair.
* Domestic Support: Motivating and supporting the client with housework, as well as daily cooking and general domestic tasks.
* Social and Community Engagement: Accompanying the client on various outings, using her car (staff must be confident drivers). Activities include visiting charity shops, going to the pub to play pool, and visiting her mother.
* Relationship Support: Confidently interacting with the client's mother to maintain a positive relationship, especially given the mother's recent cancer diagnosis.
* General Support: Encouraging independence and supporting the client with her daily living needs.
Pay
* Pay Rate: £20 per hour (Umbrella)
* Sleepover Allowance: £100 per sleepover (Umbrella)
Requirements
* Essential: Due to the nature of the support required, this role is open to Female Applicants Only (Exemption under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
* Experience: Experience supporting individuals with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities is highly beneficial.
* Character: Must be patient, structured, and able to work with a client who can be stubborn but is otherwise great to work with.
* Catheter Training: Willingness to undergo specific, mandated catheter training provided by the District Nurse, even if you have previous training.
* Driver: Must be a confident driver as you will be using the client's car for outings.
* Interpersonal Skills: Must be confident and empathetic in interacting with the client's family, specifically her mother.
