Join us in owning and managing the delivery of SGT Small Controls Modules and Cabinet Assembly & Test, ensuring we meet our Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) targets. Imagine continually improving our department’s performance in manufacturing efficiency while reducing product costs and fostering growth and development within your team. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving our success and creating a culture of excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. You will ensure that products are delivered on time, meeting all cost and quality requirements.
2. Identify necessary investments and activities to enhance manufacturing capability and efficiency for both the short and long term (3-18 months).
3. Own and implement budgets to achieve required business targets effectively.
4. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental practices in line with company policies and strategies.
5. Foster open communication regarding changes in strategies and objectives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
6. You will facilitate effective teamwork and maintain good industrial relations, which are essential for this role.
7. Organize the necessary resources and processes to meet business requirements reliably and cost-effectively.
8. Support the introduction and optimization of digital tools such as Opcenter, Tableau, MES, and SAP.
9. Act as an ambassador for the business by hosting customers and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
10. You have at least 3 years of leadership experience.
11. A solid understanding of continuous improvement and LEAN techniques.
12. A proactive approach to challenges and opportunities.
13. A management qualification is desired.
14. You are prepared to deputize for the Head of PMF when needed.
15. Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and strategies.
16. Project management experience to oversee initiatives successfully.
17. Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
18. Proficient in IT systems, including SAP and Microsoft packages.
19. Health & Safety competence, ideally with IOSHH training.
