Salary: £50,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: Demonstrable experience with AWS within a software engineering company including experience in software product releases, automation and deployment. Ability to coach and mentor junior members of the Cloud Engineering team, providing advice and solutions to complex Cloud-related problems. Background in software engineering to communicate effectively with both development teams and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable providing on-call support, typically 1 week in 4. Extensive use of AWS and related cloud services (S3, SQS). Experience with serverless containerization (Lambda, Docker) and network security (subnets, VPC). Proficient in database management (PostgreSQL) and automation scripting (Bash, Python). Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), cloud monitoring and alarms (Cloudwatch, AWS Health Dashboard), and CI/CD practices. Responsibilities: Build, maintain, and support AWS-based infrastructure for cloud-based products. Work on existing cloud architecture, improving features and ensuring platform robustness and reliability.
