Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Conflicts & Risk Management Lawyer for a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze conflict reports, prepare assessments, and support conflict identification and resolution in line with specific requirements.
2. Draft and review conflict waivers, engagement letters, and related documents.
3. Conduct electronic research on legal issues, corporate affiliations, SEC filings, sanctions, and public records.
4. Use internal systems and external databases to gather and analyze conflict-related information.
5. Implement Ethical Walls to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
6. Assess conflicts related to lateral hires and recommend actions.
7. Work with the Director of Business Intake on client onboarding and conflicts management.
8. Assist Conflict Specialists with conflict searches and analyses.
9. Participate in adopting new technologies to improve the Business Intake process.
10. Identify data inconsistencies and guide resolution efforts.
11. Serve as a contact for conflicts procedures and lateral hiring protocols.
12. Help internal teams interpret conflicts policies.
13. Maintain and update standard operating procedures.
14. Develop contingency plans for system outages.
15. Provide after-hours and weekend support with compensatory time off.
