Wildanet, building careers from the Southwest to anywhere. Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Status: This role is restricted to internal Wildanet employees only. Location: Liskeard Head Office with travel to other sites as required. Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient management and control of the warehouse operation for Wildanets, ensuring the smooth running of the supply of goods and cost controls throughout the business. In addition, the role controls the stock level accuracy throughout the warehouse and surrounding departments, including operational suppliers. Main Responsibilities: Overseeing the operational activities in our Warehouses Ensuring all incoming and outgoing stock is accounted for via the company’s ERP system Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements are met throughout the department Adopting all Wildanet people policies are fully implemented throughout the warehouse and logistics teams. Ensuring good fiscal controls are in place, including stock control, ordering and distribution and supplier Contracting arrangements. Leading and executing projects. Designing and implementing process improvements to support the transformation of the supply chain. Key Activities: While duties and responsibilities will vary, they typically include: Implement structure and develop internal processes to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation. Effectively lead and develop the warehouse team. Conduct regular one to one’s to review team performance with agreed goals, identifying training needs and required support. Mentor team members, provide guidance on best practices, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Planning, scheduling, and executing stock control projects to ensure optimal inventory levels and efficient operations. Ensure processes are in place outsourced and off-site transport to book shipments to contactors site/yards. Addressing stock-related challenges such as stockouts, overstock situations, and discrepancies in inventory records working closely with the wider team to gather data and feedback to generate improved performance. Work closely with departments such as procurement, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless coordination to meet stock control objectives and company goals. Ensure processes are in place to manage stock integrity for Field Engineers. Conduct regular health and safety reviews / audits within the warehouse, ensuring everyone within the warehouse is following all health and safety procedures. Manual handling and forklift driving required at times. Ensuring stock control records are accurate at all times, including returns and claims for damages. Addressing stock-related challenges such as stockouts, overstock situations, and discrepancies in inventory records. Decisive actions are required to maintain smooth operations. Constantly seeks ways to enhance stock control processes and solutions to optimise inventory management and reduce operational costs. Liaise effectively with Engineers to ensure correct stock is on board each fleet vehicle and stock is ready for delivery on schedule Provide operational support at both Warehouse sites. Regularly assess, implement and update workflows and procedures, looking for areas to improve Ensure all warehouse sites are ready for annual audits. Essential Person Specification Knowledge: Managerial knowledge In depth knowledge of warehouse health and safety standards. Warehouse and logistics processing. Knowledge of the telecommunication industry. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics. Skills/Attributes: Proficiency in inventory management software, data analysis tools, Excel for stock tracking, RFID technology, and familiarity with ERP systems. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, leadership qualities, and the ability to work well under pressure. Experience: Previous experience managing a team in a warehousing environment Minimum of 3 years in inventory management roles within a relevant business setting. Experience in forecasting, demand planning, and stock control strategies. Demonstrated experience in scaling operations, expanding into new markets, or leading successful process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Good level of general education in Maths and English Health and safety qualification (i.e. IOSH) (or willingness to obtain) Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (desirable) Certification in Inventory Management (desirable) Forklift with counterbalance (desirable) Circumstances: This role is restricted to internal Wildanet employees only. Internal applicants must have passed probation and sought approval from their line manager before applying. This role may be physically demanding at times and involve lifting or moving large or awkward packages. 37.5 hours per week, within core business hours of 07:30 – 19:30 This role may require some ad-hoc weekend/evening working and travel to different sites such as Liskeard & Pensilva on a regular basis.
