Account Executive
My client is a leading player within the SME lending landscape. They hold a significant market share operating since 2018 with an innovative flexible solution which caters to SME businesses across the UK. They are at the heart of the Embedded Finance market, a fast-growing part of the Fintech space. They have a strong partnership channel led by the Head of Partnerships, comprising Payment Providers, ISOs, Brokers and Professional Introducers who refer high volumes of pre-qualified lending opportunities.
The role of the Account Executive is to work on the conversion and close of these deals. There is no cold prospecting required, allowing focus on building relationships with SME business owners and closing a high percentage of partner deals.
Responsibilities
* End to End sales cycle working on SME lending deals provided by Partners
* Speak to SME business owners to qualify their lending eligibility
* Discuss the product, its benefits and how it will suit their business
* Collate all credit documentation and ensure it’s a good deal for the credit team to underwrite
* Deliver offer to SME business owner
* Build a consistent pipeline of deals, some closing within 24 hours, others may take up to a week
* Work on renewals – re-engage customers when lending is ending or may resume in the future
* Contribute to the wider sales culture – share best practices and propose improvements to enhance the sales process
Essential Skills and Competencies
* Previous sales experience within the financial services landscape
* Managed 360 sales cycle including closing
* Keen to be on the phones, building relationships with customers
* Good team player, work closely with wider sales team
* Happy to attend office in central Bristol 3 days a week
