Role Overview:
As an R&D and Projects Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the development of new products and innovations, as well as leading and managing a range of engineering projects from concept to completion. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality, while ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead research and development activities for new product concepts and improvements to existing products.
Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery in line with customer specifications and business goals.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
Conduct product testing, analyze results, and recommend design modifications as necessary.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress to meet deadlines.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
Maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations, ensuring high levels of quality and safety.
Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies to bring innovative solutions to the company.
Skills and Experience:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in R&D and project engineering within a manufacturing or OEM environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset.
Effective communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
