Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Management Accountant to join our Finance team reporting to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of all financial reporting, planning and analysis, working to tight weekly and monthly deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Managing and developing a small accounts team will also be a key requirement of the role.
Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
Reviewing controls and processes, making improvements where necessary
Supporting, coaching, and developing the accounts team
Providing support to the senior management team and finance business partners
Liaising with internal and external auditors
Preparing and submitting VAT returns, CIS returns and PAYE
Preparing and distributing weekly P&L reports for all business units
Support investigatory efforts to provide clear and adequately detailed commentaries on the company's performance
Liaise with the divisional finance leads to ensure costs are accurately reflected and allocated to business units
Provide clear and relevant supplementary reports on analytical variances as required
Support the Financial Controller in documenting business processes in order to maintain and strengthen internal controls across the Group
Supporting the Financial Controller with information for cashflow forecasting purposes Skills, Qualifications & Experience
A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA)
Previous experience working with Business Central/NAV (Essential)
A broad financial management background with the ability to provide incisive, user-friendly management information and meaningful financial analysis
Strong track record of producing accurate management accounts and detailed balance sheet reconciliations within tight deadlines
Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting techniques
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial reporting
Confident working with external auditors
Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
