You will be responsible for: Content Marketing • Developing and maintaining a content calendar aligned with campaign priorities and business goals. • Producing thought leadership articles, blogs, and educational content optimised for SEO to increase visibility and engagement. • Creating impactful case studies and whitepapers to support lead generation and demonstrate Mercia’s value to clients. • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop authoritative, industry-relevant content. • Ensuring brand tone of voice and messaging is consistent across all written content. Email Marketing • Planning, creating, and executing integrated email campaigns across various customer segments. • Developing and managing lifecycle workflows to support client onboarding, retention, cross-sell, and upsell initiatives. • Leveraging data-driven insights to segment audiences and deliver personalised email communications. • Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions), making recommendations to improve future campaigns. • Conducting A/B testing on subject lines, content, and design to maximise campaign effectiveness. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management • Working closely with the wider Marketing team to align content and email activity with overall marketing plans. • Collaborating with sales and other departments to ensure marketing activity supports lead generation and customer engagement objectives. • Supporting internal communications initiatives as required to engage employees and align them with Mercia’s brand strategy. What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role You’ll be working across multiple campaigns and content streams, often with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. You’ll need to have strong attention to detail, the ability to work to deadlines, and the flexibility to adapt to content and campaigns quickly in a fast-paced environment. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you must have: • Previous experience in a marketing role (B2B, B2C, or marketing agency background welcome). • A strong interest in content creation and email marketing. • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce engaging, audience-focused copy. • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • A proactive and creative approach, with the confidence to bring new ideas to the team. To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have: • Knowledge of SEO principles and experience creating optimised content. • Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar). • Familiarity with analysing campaign performance data and applying insights to improve results.
