Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for helping others? Mencap is looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Omagh, where your role will have a lasting impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities.
What You’ll Do:
* Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routines
* Assist with personal care and medication, including showering/toileting and dressing
* Help with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill payments
* Encourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groups
* Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of life
* Build trusting, meaningful relationships based on empathy and respect
What We’re Looking For:
* A genuine passion for supporting others
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnight
* A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude
* Willingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI check
Contract & Shift Details:
Full-time and Part-time Contracts Available
* Day Shifts: 12-hour shifts starting between 9:00 am - 11:00 am
* Night Shifts: 9:00 pm – 9:00 am
(Rota prepared 4+ weeks in advance to support your work/life balance)
