32.5 hours per week - Term Time only The children of Ball Green Primary School are excited to announce the creation of a new vacancy as Key Stage 2 Teaching & Learning Assistant – Year group to be confirmed based on experience and preferences. As a result, the governors and senior leaders of the school would like the children to help in finding the best person that they can. Teaching & Learning Assistants are very kind and caring, always welcoming us with a warm smile and words that make us feel happy and special; Teaching & Learning Assistants are very clever and know how to use exciting planning in lessons that challenge our thinking, providing help and support if-and-when we need it; Our lessons always make sense because our Teaching & Learning Assistants ask us lots of questions to find out what we already know and show us how to know more and remember more; Teaching & Learning Assistants are always very clear about what they expect from us because they show us lots of examples and give us lots of time to practice. If we make mistakes, they point these out quickly so that we can use our ‘growth mindsets’ and learn from them; Teaching & Learning Assistants think about how much we have to remember and they help us to achieve and succeed through lots of practice, quizzes and challenges. This way, we can see our own successes. If you think that you can live up to the same wonderful standards as our staff, we would love for you to come and look around our school and if you like what you see, for you to apply to be our Teaching & Learning Assistant. Our school is set amongst the fields in between Ball Green and Norton. It is quite a big school with a large playing field, which we love to use, a woodland area for ‘Forest Schools’ and several playgrounds. There are two classes in each year group so that our class sizes can be kept small and we all have one teacher and at least one teaching assistant in each room. The grown-ups in our school, work very hard to make sure that ‘ every child ’ is given ‘ every chance ,’ ‘ every day .’ Additional Information Please contact Mrs. Potts to arrange a date and time for any visits to the school.
