About the Role
We’re working with a specialist provider of high-quality solutions, supporting the construction of apartments, blocks, and student accommodation. As their new Business Development Manage, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by targeting architects, M&E contractors, developers, and other key decision-makers across the construction industry.
You’ll be responsible for building long-term client relationships and identifying commercial opportunities, delivering tailored, compliant, and technically robust solutions across a wide portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the large-scale construction sector.
* Build and nurture relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, and developers.
* Deliver compelling sales presentations that align with industry standards and specific project needs.
* Produce detailed and accurate quotations, proposals, and scopes of work.
* Support the seamless handover of projects to delivery teams, ensuring clear communication.
* Attend post-order meetings, providing ongoing client support throughout project lifecycles.
* Develop technical case studies to showcase successful installations and solutions.
* Maintain accurate CRM records and stay informed on the latest fire safety and ventilation regulations.
About You
* Proven track record in B2B sales within the construction sector.
* Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and client relationship skills.
* Confident working independently and proactively within a technical sales environment.
* Comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Highly Desirable
* Familiarity with smoke ventilation systems and fire safety regulations.
* Background in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
* Understanding of M&E contracting and the full project lifecycle from design to installation.
* Existing network within the construction or M&E sectors.
