About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons, with a focus on Chemistry, that meet national curriculum requirements.
* Teach across KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-level Chemistry.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies, practical experiments, and digital resources to stimulate curiosity and scientific thinking.
* Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and achievement.
* Assess and track student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support individual development.
* Contribute to the Science Department’s curriculum planning, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives.
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and classroom management in line with school policy.

The ideal candidate will:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
* A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
* Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Chemistry at KS4 and ideally KS5.
* A track record of raising attainment and inspiring students to achieve their best in Science.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.
* A passion for science education and promoting STEM pathways to all learners.
