The role To oversee the quality of data in relation to Beyondly’s WEEE & Batteries compliance services, ensuring that company submission systems and processes in relation to customer data capture are maintained and developed in line with regulatory change. To be responsible for completion of Beyondly’s WEEE & Batteries Compliance Scheme submissions to the regulator and chosen compliance partner. You can read more about the WEEE & Batteries Compliance regulations at the below links: • https://www.gov.uk/guidance/regulations-waste-electrical-and-electronic-equipment • https://www.gov.uk/guidance/waste-batteries-producer-responsibility The responsibilities (there are more!) • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of customer and internal data for regulatory submissions and registrations. • Lead the completion of timely and accurate submission of customer data to the Environment Agency in line with regulatory deadlines. • Conduct virtual and in-person customer audits to support with data compliance and advise actions to ensure and improve data quality. • Research, recommend and implement technologies and processes to improve data checking and integrity. • Coaching and mentoring of team members to improve team performance with regards to registrations and data quality. • Act as a liaison with the Environment Agency, supporting in regulatory audits and managing information requests. You will be proactive in identifying risks to data quality and regulatory compliance, with a solution-focused mindset to address issues swiftly and effectively. Your strong leadership skills will include experience of mentoring and supporting team development – helping others to deliver accurate, timely and high-quality outputs. The successful candidate will be confident in handling, interrogating and improving large data sets to support accurate submissions and high-quality reporting. You will bring a critical and analytical mindset to the role, proactively identifying data issues and implementing solutions that uphold the highest standards of data integrity across all internal systems and member interactions. You will be confident engaging with both internal colleagues and external members, including the Environment Agency, communicating technical information clearly and constructively, and supporting members through audits and regulatory processes. To thrive in this role, you will be passionate and excited to work for a business for good and excited to work in a fast-paced environment, taking a ‘muck in’ approach to teamwork, being flexible and highly resilient.
