Purpose of the Job
Provide one‑to‑one support to assist with social development and give caregiver respite.
Hours of Work
* 25 hours per week
* Weekday mornings to get ready for school
* Remaining times flexible and can change week‑to‑week
Rate of Pay
£14.00 per hour plus £0.40 mileage allowance.
Tasks
* Personal care: changing nappies, dressing, bathing, washing hair and changing into pyjamas
* Support morning routine and bedroom routine, ensuring cleanliness
* Engage in social and leisure activities: local park, play centres, swimming
* Keep me safe at all times, stay home sometimes, play and keep mind/body active
* Drive the family car (full clean driving licence required)
Requirements
* Dependable, punctual, respectful of privacy and confidentiality
* Friendly, approachable, outgoing, energetic, fun, confident, mature attitude
* Flexible, work flexibly weekly as needed
* Experience working with children, background check, DBS disclosure
* Knowledge of Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy, moving and handling training desirable (training can be given)
* Full clean driving licence (must be able to drive family car; own car also needed)
Checks and Legalities
* Satisfactory references and DBS Disclosure (Police Check) required prior to commencement
* Local Authority covers cost of checks
* Verification of legal right to work in UK required
* Employment requires National Insurance number
