What you'll do
As a Head Butler at 45 Park Lane, you will create memorable, personalized experiences for our guests. Your main responsibilities include:
1. Training, recruiting, and motivating a team of butlers to deliver service excellence.
2. Welcoming guests, preparing suites, and attending to their needs throughout their stay.
3. Providing personalized guest service, anticipating and fulfilling requests with discretion and attention to detail.
4. Collaborating with departments like Housekeeping, Room Service, and Concierge to ensure seamless service and updated guest profiles.
5. Possessing excellent knowledge of the hotel, its facilities, and local attractions to enhance guest experiences.
6. Ensuring interactions are conducted with warmth, precision, and care, maintaining The Dorchester’s legacy.
You will work on a seven-day rota with three shifts:
* Morning: 07:00–15:45
* Midday: 10:00–18:45
* Late: 14:30–23:15
You will have two days off per week and be required to work on bank holidays as part of the rota.
What you'll bring
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience as a Butler Manager or Assistant Butler Manager in a London boutique hotel.
* Strong leadership skills to achieve service excellence.
* Exceptional guest service skills, with a creative, caring approach.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Understanding of service protocols, etiquette, and professional presentation.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of London’s key locations and attractions.
* Multilingual abilities, especially for international guests.
* Formal training in luxury hospitality or butler standards.
