Conveyancing Supervising Solicitor / Team Leader
Blackburn based (Full time)
Full-Time
£40,000 – £45,000
A well-established and growing law firm in the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Supervising Solicitor / Team Leader to oversee a residential conveyancing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of leadership and hands-on legal work, with the chance to play a key role in team development and performance.
The Role:
* Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of conveyancers, supporting their development and performance
* Manage a small caseload of residential conveyancing matters (freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, remortgages, shared ownership, and new builds)
* Provide technical guidance on more complex transactions and legal queries
* Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties
* Oversee transactions from instruction through to post-completion (including SDLT and Land Registry processes)
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes
* Work closely with senior management to drive team performance and service delivery
About You:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing
* At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role
* Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing processes and property law
* Confident managing both a caseload and a team
* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
* Experience using case management systems
Desirable:
* Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx
* Familiarity with HM Land Registry and SDLT processes
* Proven ability to lead within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
