An exciting opportunity has become available for a Residential care worker to join our service as we continue to grow our internal residential provision in Warrington. We are looking for an enthusiastic, child focused individuals who have a keen interest of children's residential services. All of our home in Warrington are rated GOOD or OUTSTANDING and you will be provided will the skill and training to further support the residential homes.

You will work 37 hours a week Monday to Sunday on rota basis with the expectation of completing sleep in duties supporting the children and young people in within the service.

You will also benefit from 20% enhancements Monday to Friday 19:00 to 23:00 and 30% enhancements from 19:00 to 23:00 on Saturday and Sunday. We offer a substantial training package and are committed to supporting development and progress. We are in easily commutable distance of Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. We have a car leasing scheme (salary sacrifice) and rail ticket scheme available for our employees. When established within the role we will support you in the completion of a NVQ Level 4 in children and young people.


The role

Warrington Borough Council's Children's Residential service is expanding with a number of innovative new projects opening in the next 12 months.

We have an exciting opportunities to join an already supportive and experienced staff team as a Residential Care Worker.

This is a challenging role where you will caring and supporting children and young people with a number complex needs to improve their outcomes and achieve their goals.


What's needed?

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with young people and are flexible, resilient, motivated and committed.

As a residential care worker your weekly rota will bend around the needs of the young people you are allocated to support, including working evenings, weekends and sleep in shifts,

You must hold or be willing to work towards at least a level 3 diploma in residential care work.
