SEN and Mental Health Support Worker – Wokingham

ASAP Start – Full-Time Position

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and mental health challenges? An inclusive and forward-thinking SEN school in Wokingham is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN and Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting children aged 5 to 11 with a variety of needs including Autism, ADHD, and other complex learning or emotional needs.

This role is ideal for Psychology, Counselling, Education, or Criminology graduates or individuals looking to start a rewarding career in mental health, therapy, education, or child development.

* Role: SEN and Mental Health Support Worker
* Location: Wokingham
* Salary: £89-£100 per day
* Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
* Start Date: ASAP
* Age Group: Children aged 5 to 18
* Ideal for: Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology Graduates or anyone wanting to support children with mental health needs


Responsibilities

The SEN and Mental Health Support Worker role will involve supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other special needs in the classroom and during activities. You will promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment by providing 1:1 or small group interventions to aid learning and emotional regulation. You will also collaborate with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals to implement personalised support plans.

The SEN and Mental Health Support Worker role is perfect for individuals with a genuine passion for mental health, child development, and inclusive education and Psychology, Criminology, Education, or Counselling graduates.
