Could you be the one we're looking for to take the first step on your Futures journey as our very first Procurement Apprentice on an initial 15-month fixed-term contract? Please note that apprenticeship start salaries are age-dependent and may vary accordingly.
You'll be part of a supported, knowledgeable, and proactive team that will guide you as you assist with procurement administration, contract support, supplier onboarding, and procurement compliance processes. You will gain experience aligned with the core competencies of professional procurement practice.
You’ll be organized, and you'll need those great communication and attention-to-detail skills. You should also be comfortable with numbers, accurate, and have a passion for data, which will be valuable as you progress in this great opportunity to enter the world of procurement.
A Few Key Points From Our Role Profile
* Gain proficiency in software platforms including MS Excel, Word, and procurement systems (e.g., Procurement Portals, Orchard).
* Attend in-house and online training aligned with public sector procurement and compliance.
* Build confidence in supporting and interacting with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the wider procurement team.

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Monday to Friday, paid monthly. You'll get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and concessionary days off at Christmas. We also offer flexibility around business needs.
