An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated, experienced Registered Nurse with a relevant post-registration background in complex colorectal conditions, particularly with an interest in caring for patients with colorectal cancer, to join our established Colorectal Nursing Team. The team is committed to delivering high-quality service alongside the wider Colorectal Cancer MDT.
The post holder will join an existing team of Clinical Nurse Specialists and a Navigator, providing specialist advice to patients and their carers throughout their inpatient journey, as well as supporting and advising other healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-driven, and able to work effectively as part of a busy team. You will be an integral part of the Colorectal MDT and undertake a supportive role in patient pathways.
The post holder will act as the key worker for patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer, supporting patients and relatives during this process, and serve as a specialist resource for all professionals involved in patient care.
You will contribute to meaningful MDT discussions and maintain up-to-date data collection to facilitate service audits.
