We have an exciting opportunity for you to work an average of 2 days per week. The role involves full-time work during the Autumn and Winter months, followed by time off in Spring and Summer!

Responsibilities
As a Train Manager, you will support GBRf in delivering a safe, reliable, and best-in-class service to our customers. Your role will involve liaising with Rail Operators, Signallers, and Contractors to meet customer requirements and ensure trains arrive on time.
Qualifications
A flexible attitude to working hours is essential due to shift-based work averaging 34.5 hours per week. Shifts vary and cover 24/7 operations, especially nights, which are typical in freight services.
* Current Freight Train Driving Experience is essential to apply.
* Candidates must have a satisfactory safety record and hold a valid UK driving licence.
* Extensive route and traction knowledge within the area and surroundings is desirable.
* Proficiency with IT packages such as Word, Outlook, and the ability to download applications on iPads.
* Safety-conscious with a calm attitude during emergency situations.
* Excellent concentration and observational skills.
* Clear, professional communication skills to convey safety messages.
* Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Train managers must reside within 45 minutes of their workplace.
* Applicants must possess a UK/EU Train Driver Licence.
