Assembly Operative
Location: Banbury
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary £28,000 per annum, increasing to £ per annum after a successful probationary period
Hours: Monday to Friday – no weekends
The Assembly Operative will be responsible for the assembly and sub-assembly of bespoke vehicle interiors, ensuring all components are fitted to a high standard. Working across multiple build stages, the Assembly Operative will focus on precision assembly, quality finishes, and supporting the overall build process. The Assembly Operative will play a key role in delivering high-quality vehicles by ensuring all assemblies meet specifications and are completed efficiently. This position requires strong attention to detail, hands-on skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Role & Responsibilities of the Assembly Operative
* Assemble and install interior units, fixtures, and fittings to specification
* Carry out sub-assembly of components before final vehicle installation
* Work from the build instructions and technical drawings to complete assemblies accurately
* Inspect assembled components and interiors to ensure quality and fitment standards
* Carry out adjustments, refinements, and finishing tasks as required
* Support the build process across multiple stages of vehicle production
* Conduct detailed checks of completed assemblies before final installation
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment and ensure tools are kept in good condition
Requirements of the Assembly Operative role
* Proven experience in assembly or sub-assembly within an automotive or manufacturing environment
* Strong hands-on skills with the ability to work with a variety of materials and components
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings and build instructions
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
* Flexible attitude towards work and production demands
