SEN Teacher - Maternity Cover
Location: Leeds
Start Date: Mid‑May
Pay: £170 - £220 per day (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting on a maternity cover basis starting mid‑May. This is a full‑time role, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting pupils with complex and multiple learning needs.
The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, working with students who require highly personalised approaches to learning, including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, and associated needs.
The Role:
* Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual learning needs
* Support pupils with complex and multiple learning difficulties
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
* Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
* Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting approaches where needed
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with students with complex and multiple learning needs
* Strong understanding of SEN, including PMLD, ASC, and communication needs
* Patient, adaptable, and resilient approachConfident managing behaviours and supporting emotional regulation
