What Are We Looking For?
Owing to organic growth through our continued success, our Finance department is seeking a Payroll Controller based in either Inverness, Edinburgh, or Cumbernauld. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team managing a diverse portfolio of projects within the RSE business.
You will provide a comprehensive and accurate payroll service, including processing, payments, and accounting for all employee remuneration, both fixed and variable. Attention to detail is essential, and with our new systems, you will thrive in this environment.
Please note that while location is flexible among the specified offices, regular visits to Inverness (our Head Office) and other UK subsidiary sites will be required.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
* Inputting all necessary information into the payroll system for new starters and leavers.
* Setting up new employees on the company's time management/recording system.
* Conducting briefings related to time management/recording systems.
* Processing timesheets.
* Recording annual leave allocations and applications.
* Checking and processing payments for expenses, leave, and statutory sick/maternity/paternity pay.
* Liaising with managers to resolve pay queries.
* Submitting PAYE/NI payments and documentation.
* Posting journals related to pensions, CSA, court arrestments, etc.
What Do You Need?
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
* Strong knowledge of payroll software packages.
* Understanding of statutory and legislative payroll requirements and timelines.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
