Job Description
Estimator / Quotation Engineer required for a global manufacturer of measuring equipment used in precision engineering, electronics, medical, automotive and aerospace based near Woking, Surrey.
The successful Estimator / Quotation Engineer will be responsible for estimating, quoting and closing sub-contract machining and any metal finishing as required.
This role would suit someone from a CNC Machining background wanting to make the move towards sales. It would also suit a current Sales Engineer from a Mechanical background with quoting experience. This is an onsite role, working in the machine shop the successful candidate will need to live within a commutable distance to Woking.

Estimator / Quotation Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Interpret customer requirements from CAD drawings, technical specifications, or computer models.
2. Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and bids for sub-contract machining and metal finishing, with support from Purchasing and Machine Shop personnel
3. Review costs and acceptable margins
4. Support Production Control and Sales Order Processing by inputting new orders into the ERP system
