Senior Accountant
About the role

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join us in producing solutions as we bring next-generation connectivity to our customers across the country. Based in our New York office, you’ll be managing the monthly closing and analysis, identifying, and implementing operational best practices, and performing/assisting with ad-hoc analysis.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the accounting team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring seamless financial operations, maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships, and contributing to the financial success of our organization. At all levels, colleagues will rely on your keen eye and accounting knowledge and your ability to improve processes and efficiencies in day-to-day operations. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:
1. Preparing of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and accruals
2. Collaborating with numerous departments and internal and external auditors
3. Performing analytical review of monthly operating results and accounting workbooks and ensure compliance with SOX.
4. Participating in the preparation of the Company’s consolidated results.
5. Monitoring and reviewing high volume of transactions for a variety of service lines.
6. Educating accounts payable on detailed GL coding using our automated A/P workflow solution.
7. Preparing and analyzing quarterly and annual CAM reconciliations.
8. Working with the Asset Management team to ensure lease terms are being entered into our systems accurately and timely.
What you’ll bring

9. Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited university, with a minimum of three years of experience in Accounting/Finance
10. Strong GAAP knowledge required, CPA license a plus.
11. Public Accounting experience is preferred but not required.
12. Real estate and/or telecommunication and manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
13. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
14. JD Edwards, CoStar, Tungsten, and/or CoStar experience a plus.
