Known for their strong customer relationships and commitment to reliability, they operate in demanding site environments where uptime and technical support are critical.Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering all 32 counties of Ireland, with the role advertised from County Down.The RoleThe successful candidate will provide on-site technical support to customers nationwide, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on specialist construction and industrial tools. This is a field-based role involving regular travel across Ireland, including overnight stays as required.Key responsibilities include:Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing power tools at customer sites across IrelandCarrying out scheduled maintenance for key customer accountsProviding technical advice and basic training to customers on correct tool usageCompleting service reports and maintaining accurate repair recordsManaging spare parts used during field repairsBuilding strong working relationships with customers through professional service deliveryThe main equipment worked on will include electronic and mechanical tools, primarily nail guns and rebar guns, along with related drilling equipment.The CandidateOur client is seeking a hands-on technical professional with:Experience repairing or servicing power tools, construction equipment, or industrial machineryStrong mechanical aptitude (mechanics will be considered)Basic electrical or electronic fault-finding abilityWillingness to travel extensively throughout IrelandFull UK driving licenceStrong time-management skills and ability to work independentlyA practical, customer-focused approachFull product training will be provided.PackageOur client offers a comprehensive and attractive package, including:Salary: £40,000 - £45,000Bonus: Up to £3,500Vehicle: Company van providedTools & Equipment: Fully providedTraining: Full technical and product trainingPension: 6% company contributionHealthcare: Healthcare package includedHolidays: 30 days annual leave plus bank holidaysBMS Performance specialises in recruiting Engineering professionals, nationally.
