Ribbon Administrator/Ribbon Operations Engineer
Location:London, 3 months rolling Inside IR35
We are looking for experiencedRibbon Administratorswith strongoperations and support skillsto join one of our clients on a contract basis.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and maintainingRibbon (Sonus) SBC, PSX, and EMS platforms, ensuring high service availability and performance across our voice network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Perform day-to-dayadministration and monitoringof Ribbon network elements (SBCs, PSX, EMS).
 * Conducthealth checks, manage alarms, troubleshoot faults, and ensure network stability.
 * Implementconfiguration changes, software upgrades, and capacity expansions.
 * ManageSIP trunk configurations, routing, and policy ruleson Ribbon systems.
 * Work with engineering and project teams fornew service deploymentsand integrations.
 * Coordinate withRibbon TACand internal teams for incident resolution and root cause analysis.
 * Maintain accuratedocumentationof configurations, procedures, and change logs.
 * Participate in a24x7 on-call rotationfor critical incidents and planned maintenance.
Requirements:
 * Hands-on experiencewith Ribbon SBC 5k/7k/SWe, PSX, and EMS systems.
 * Strong understanding ofSIP, RTP, VoIP, and routing policies.
 * Familiarity withLinux-based systemsand basic Scripting (bash/Python preferred).
 * Experience invoice core operations,SIP trunking, orcarrier interconnect environments.
 * Ability to troubleshoot complex signaling and media issues.
 * Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
 * Ribbon Certified Support Engineer (RCSE)or equivalent certification.
 * Knowledge ofIMS, VoLTE, or IP voice core architectures.
 * Experience withmonitoring tools(eg, Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios).
 * ITIL certificationis a plus.
